Abstract: This paper discusses the problems in the design of teacher’s training as a form of professional development. The research is focused on the tool for appropriate support of courses design for the teachers to develop their knowledge, skills and competences in order to be able to apply in effective way digital technologies in their practice. The recent research shows that the constructivists approach is most suitable to be used in the teacher training. The complexity of instructional design for constructivist training leads the authors to the idea to create a model based on fuzzy logic and to build on its base an expert system to support decisions during the course design. The article presents a methodology used to extract knowledge from the experts and to identify the main components in the model, their characteristics and relations. Authors present developed model based on fuzzy logic as well as the prototype of the expert system Open Virtual World.
