Title: | Artificial Stakeholders (AS) module of the PRIME project |
Authors: | Varbanov, Sergey |
Keywords: | Serious games Virtual Business Environment Software Agents Knowledge reasoning Business Games software agent architecture |
Issue Date: | 9-Feb-2010 |
Abstract: | The Artificial Stakeholders (AS) module of the PRIME project includes Protege System (as protege.jar), Algernon rule-based forward and backward inference engine (here implemented as a Protege plugin) and Java code interfacing AS to VBE (Virtual Business Environment). Their presence is essential for ensuring highly realistic virtual business environment. Forward and backward inference rules are successfully combined to build AS behaviour. |
Description: | The general steps to follow are:
1. Have the VBE running and several human players registered and playing.
2. Start the toolbox and from there create one or more AS instances, initializing them with appropriate parameters.
3. Then AS instances are now in working state and they react to events like new tenders. Depending on the tender characteristics an AS could start negotiating and contracting with the human player. |
