Abstract: | The article presents some results of a first survey in the country about „Organ-izational Culture in Bulgarian Libraries”, based on G. Hofstede methodology for organizational and national cultures. It aims to highlight the innovative behavior, motivation, leadership styles and their impact on the modern development of li-braries in the country.
The survey was conducted among the staff of the Regional Libraries in Octo-ber – December 2014 by Prof. Olya Harizanova [Doctor of Philosophy; Faculty of Philosophy] and Prof. Tsvetan Davidkov [Doctor of Sociology; Faculty of Econom-ics and Business Administration]. In addition to analysis and conclusions are used data from the National Statistical Institute (NSI), the Ministry of Culture (MC), and other studies on organizational culture. |
