dc.description.abstract BCI'2007 is the 3-rd Balkan Conference in Informatics, following BCI'2005, held in Ohrid, and BCI'2003, held in Thessaloniki. The aim of the conference is to provide a forum for discussions and dissemination of research achievements, to promote interaction and collaboration among scientists from the Balkans and beyond, and to encourage involvement of young researchers from the region.The conference welcomes submissions of original, high quality contributions in different areas of informatics, including, but not limited to: Advanced algorithms and applications Advanced information systems Communication networks and Grid technologies Software technologies Information security Embedded systems, sensor networks, reliable and efficient computing Computational science Simulation, visualization, interaction and mixed realities Knowledge-based, cognitive and learning systems Language technologies Technology-enhanced learning Information society technologies bg_BG
