Библиотекознанието като учебна дисциплина в Софийския университет – приносът на Елена Кирова и Божана Троянова

Abstract

The foundation of the library science as a scientific object in the University of Sofia was laid by academician Stoian Argirov. His work is continuated by professor Todor Borov, who has further contribute to the recognition of higher library education at the University. The paper discusses the contribution of associate professor Elena Kirova and senior lecturer Bojana Troianova, specialists and lecturers in the department. The authors present the scholarly interests of: associate professor Elena Kirova in the field of general and practical library science, historical library science and higher library education; and senior lecturer Bojana Troianova in the field of library acquisition, a library collection management, the bibliographic description, library catalogues.
