Abstract:
Facing modern challenges of the affirming knowledge economy, globalization and the entry of new technologies in education raises the important issues for national policy on education and its impact on the economy. The reformation in higher education in the EU started in the 80's with understanding and recognition that education is an essential tool against social exclusion and unemployment. The main question is whether the existing education system will respond to the needs of modern economy and will it manage to in the future also to rise human capital, adequate to modern requirements of the labour market. Along with this also raises the question of funding and resource provision of education.
